Route Details

Day 1

In the morning, the visitors and the guide will meet in Kurarewe Square and they go, by car, until a fireplace called Inaltuleufu Ruka (traditional Mpauche house) where the people will participate in conversation about the Mapuche cosmovision.

The journey continues to Mapuche community, Juan de Dios Ancamil, where the visitors could know the works of sedes protector and visit her vegetable ecological garden. After that, the group will begin a walk inside of the native forest where the guide will explain details about the local flora and fauna.  

The lunch will be in Elisa restaurant, a famous place in Kurarewe where the recipe includes local ingredients.

After lunch, the visitors will arrive to Walüngmapu, in the shores of Trankurra river where they could participate in a workshop of vegetal fiber and traditional loom. The class will be provided by woman from the community.  

After de the workshop, a young palife will explain the history, technique, values and sense of palín, a traditional Mapuche game. The day will finish with the transfer to guesthouse and dinner.

 

Day 2

The journey will begin with a tradtional Mapuche breakfast. The local guide will pick up to the visitors for going to Villarrica National Park, among araucarias forest and visiting the Quillelhue lagoon. The next stop will be in a handcraft little factory where a craftsman will show the work process in traditional loom and the natural dying of wools.    

For lunch, the group will arrive to community  Camilo Coñuequir Lloftonekul where it will receive with food that include traditional ingredients from the local culture. The itinerary continues with the visit to medicine plants garden where a famous doctor will provide a class about the use od the different herbs. In the end of the day, the visitors could choose between the relaxing time in hot springs  or canopy in the forest.
